When Dr. Bearss is not teaching overseas, he is available to conduct life-changing seminars at your church. Chose one of 12 Seminars designed to help you become stronger in vital areas of the Christian walk. Excellent for churches, Bible study groups, and youth groups.

    Every Seminar is presented in PowerPoint and includes a study guide handout for each attendee. Additional information is available--just ask!

    Each Seminar Description includes a basic overview of the material, time requirement, and suggested ideal group.

How To Share Your Faith In Christ

·        Session 1 (two 45-minute segments) A simple, straight-forward approach to witnessing. Learn the basics of the gospel and the resources God has given to help the believer maintain a consistent, vibrant witness for Jesus Christ.

·        Session 2 (two 45-minute segments) Preparation to “be ready to give an answer.” Common objections identified and answered. Direction on how to write out your own personal testimony to increase confidence in witnessing.

·        Ideal group: 12-30 teens/adults.

How We Got Our Bible

    • Overview: Every believer should know how the most amazing book ever written came from God to us. The uniqueness, sufficiency, and authority of the Bible are emphasized.
    • Sessions: (three 60-minute sessions) Sessions will cover how the Bible is organized, the nature of revelation and inspiration, canonicity, those other books, language, manuscripts, preservation, church fathers, textual criticism, and the English translations. Time allowed for Question and Answer.
    • Ideal group: Teens or adults.

Seven Marks of a Successful Church

    • Overview: After all the fads and frenzy over “how we do church” come and go, many church members are left wondering “Are we a successful church?” This seminar takes a fresh look at the biblical standard of success and answers the question “What must we do to please God?”
    • Sessions (two formats to choose from)
    • Format A: (one 75-minute session with an optional midway break) An overview of all seven marks of success are introduced and explained. Interactive question and answer time follows.
    • Format B: (four 45-minute sessions) In-depth treatment of the seven marks of success followed by group discussion.
    • Ideal group: 18-30 teens/adults.

Getting to the Heart of the Matter

    • Overview: A study of the Kings of Israel that illustrates the principle: “The Heart of the King Determined the Course of the Kingdom.” The issue of a heart that is right with God is emphasized.
    • Sessions: Part A: (one 60-minute session) Overview of four Kings of Israel and how their heart illustrates a characteristic of loyalty to God. Part B: (three 45-minute sessions) Session 1: Saul – Using the power of the Holy Spirit, Session 2: David – How a Man after God’s own Heart responds to hardship and sin, Session 3: Solomon – the dangers of a divided heart.
    • Ideal group: Excellent for Teens, Young Adults, or Couples.

The Messiah is Coming (Study in Isaiah)
    • Overview: A study of the Highlights of Isaiah, the most amazing revelation of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament. Highlights include presenting the gospel from the Old Testament, understanding the work of Christ on the cross, and God’s plan for Israel. Makes a great study around Christmas time.
    • Sessions: (three 60-minute sessions) Session 1: The Gospel in Isaiah, Session 2: The Cross, Session 3: The Kingdom
    • Ideal group: Adults.

How to Study the Bible

    • Overview: An effective and simple Bible study method is presented to give the student a workable, life-long way to explore God’s Word. Many examples are given including one practical study assignment.  
    • Sessions: (five 45-minute sessions) Session 1: The Method – part 1, Session 2: The Method – part 2, Session 3: Applying the Method, Session 4: A Group Project, Session 5: An Individual Assignment.
    • Ideal group: 12-30 Adults or Teens.

When Trouble Comes
(Lessons on Forgiveness)

    • Overview: Occasionally the unity of the church is interrupted by a period of conflict. This seminar focuses on how to handle trouble in a biblical manner so that the purposes of God are seen and accomplished in the process.
    • Sessions: (three 60-minute sessions) Sessions progress through the Bible showing God’s purpose for trouble and the believer’s best response to it. Session 1: Conflict Resolution: New Testament Principles, Session 2: Forgiveness – The Example of Joseph, Session 3: Dealing with Rebellion – The Example of Nehemiah
    • Ideal group: Teens, Young Adults, or Adults.



Win Their Hearts--Fostering Evangelistic Zeal
    • Overview: God has shown the believer six specific forces in evangelism that result in the salvation of souls. As we learn what God actually requires of us, our confidence in God increases resulting in a new-found hope that we can be effective in sharing the gospel.
    • Sessions: (three 60-minute sessions) Two forces in evangelism are covered in each session. Time allowed for Question and Answer.
    • Ideal group: Adult couples.
How to Walk by Faith

    • Overview: A series of lessons from the life of Abraham. Each session covers one aspect of walking by faith. Emphasis is given to the true aspects of biblical faith and how the believer relates to God in faith every day.
    • Sessions: (five 45-minute sessions) Any number of sessions can be scheduled for your event. Topics include: Description of the “walk” of faith, Victorious Christian Living, Learning Patience, Discovering God’s Will, and Worship.
    • Ideal group: New or maturing believers.

The Sufficiency of God's Word

    • Overview: We have entered a time in church history where the truth is considered the enemy. The minimization of truth has left churches weakened and ineffective in their ministry of the true gospel. The importance of truth in worship is emphasized and the all-sufficiency of God’s Word is supported.
    • Sessions: (one 75-minute session with an optional midway break) Session includes an overview of the current situation in the church and an exposition of Scripture on the place for truth. Evidence for Design in Scripture is given to increase confidence in God’s Word and inspire independent Bible study.
    • Ideal group: Adults.

The Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ

    • Overview: A summary of the book of Revelation. This is the only book in the Bible that promises a special blessing to those who read it. The problem with Revelation is not that it is hard to understand, but that it is hard to believe! God has revealed how history will come to a close as Christ brings ultimate victory for the saints.
    • Sessions: (four 60-minute sessions) Session 1: The Letters to the Seven Churches, Session 2: The Church as the Bride in Heaven, Session 3: The Tribulation on Earth, Session 4: The Second Coming of Jesus Christ and The Eternal State.
    • Ideal group: Adults or Older Teens.

Understanding the Times
(A Course in Apologetics)

    • Overview: A review and explanation of the world views that oppose biblical Christianity. These world views are then applied to ten basic areas of life to demonstrate that only Christianity offers the best approach to life.
    • Key verse:   2 Corinthians 10:4-5   For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…
    • Objectives:
      1. Define the term worldview.
      2. Identify the various worldviews that are non-Christian.
      3. Identify how the Christian worldview differs from other worldviews.
      4. Apply the teachings of all worldviews to ten basic areas of life.
      5. Demonstrate the superiority of the Christian worldview to all others
      6. Learn how to defend the Christian worldview from typical attacks.
